The PingCOPA application for Windows is meant to lend a helping hand to network engineers who need to monitor and diagnose network problems. PingCOPA has several network tools to offer – a tool for pinging a single address, a tool for pinging an address range, a tool to view the IP configuration, a tool to view open ports, and more. All these tools can be accessed very easily from the application’s straightforward interface.

InterVations, the developer who wrote the PingCOPA application, explained that it works with Windows 98, ME, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista and Windows Server 2008. I ran into an error while trying to install it on a Windows 7-powered PC, but after going with the recommended settings, I was able to install and run the application.

The PingCOPA interface is nothing more than a list of buttons for all the features and functions the application has to offer. Just choose the tool you want to access and click the corresponding button – it is as simple as that. In the upper left hand corner, right where it usually is, there’s a traditional File Menu. No one, not even a complete novice, will have any problems with this interface.

Enter an address or domain and the application will ping it. Enter an IP address or domain range and the application will ping it. Enter an IP address or domain and the application will perform an ICMP or UDP traceroute. These are just some of the things PingCOPA has to offer. On its features list you will also find a network calculator, network status, WhoIS, alarms, IP configuration, routing table, open ports, and NS-Lookup. If you have any problems with the functionality, check out the comprehensive Help file.

PingCOPA is free to use for an evaluation period of 30 days.

With PingCOPA, you have easy access to a bunch of useful network tools you can use to diagnose network problems.

Pros

Installing PingCOPA on a Windows PC is a simple process: download an executable, run it, click through the setup wizard. The interface is incredibly easy to figure out. PingCOPA provides easy access to multiple network tools for Windows.

Cons

Free to use for 30 days; nag screen. Ran into a bit of trouble when trying to install the application on Windows 7.
